Q: Do you charge a digitizing fee?
A: Yes — $25 digitizing fee for small, and miniature designs - size of a quarter. $40 digitizing fee applies to all standard logos, artwork, and text for all orders. $75 digitizing fee for complex multi-color or updated digitizing work may incur additional charges. $100+ digitizing fee for advanced, complex, and highly detailed artwork or oversize designs.
Q: What backing options do you offer?
A: Sew-on, heat-seal (iron-on), removable adhesive, and Velcro loop backings. We'll recommend the best backing based on the application (hat, jacket, bag).
Q: What is the minimum order?
A: We don't require a minimium quantity for custom patches. You can order one patch, a single batch of patches, or bulk as a prototype, bulk orders have the best value for production runs.
Q: Are your patches washable?
A: Yes — our embroidered and chenille patches are machine-washable when sewn on. For iron-on patches, we recommend gentle cycles and avoid high-heat drying to preserve adhesion. A gentle hand wash is always the best recommendation to care for your patches.
Q: Do you offer metallic or glow-in-the-dark threads?
A: Yes — we stock premium metallic threads and glow-in-the-dark threads for specialty effects. These are USA-made specialty threads and are ideal for high-impact designs.
Q: Can you produce large back patches for jackets or vests?
A: Yes — we produce large-format back patches with reinforced stitching for biker, club and outerwear applications. These are quoted by size and stitch count. We also offer permanent embroidered patches on the jacket or vests.
Q: Do you offer mockups and proofs?
A: Yes — digital mockups are available for a fee, a physical proof is available for viewing only - paid feature. For larger runs we offer pre-production proofs for approval final sign-off - paid option. Some customers prefer proofs after payment for IP/security reasons; tell us your preference on the form.
Q: Can you replicate an existing patch?
A: Yes — we can reproduce designs from photographs or originals. For officially licensed logos, we require proof of ownership and permission before production. You must own the rights of all of your artwork, designs, or logos, We do not allow any copyright, trademarked, or parody artwork.
Q: Can I mix patch types in one order?
A: Yes — you can combine embroidered, chenille, appliqué and specialty embroidered styles all in the same order. Each style/design will be quoted separately for accuracy, but included in your order.
Q: Do you make chenille patches for letterman jackets and hats?
A: Yes — chenille patches for jackets, caps, and patches with appliqué are one of our specialties. We recommend backing and reinforcement options tailored to the garment type.
Q: What sizes can you produce for patches?
A: We produce patches from under 1" up to 6"+ and larger custom sizes available upon request, no size limitations. Very large patches are quoted individually because stitch count and stability change with scale.
Q: How do specialty threads affect pricing?
A: Our metallic, neon, glow-in-the-dark, Premium Specialty, and Premium Made in USA are all specialized threads that can add to thread costs and sometimes require specialty digitizing; we'll include this in your custom quote. All specialty, premium, and specialized have a specialty thread fee. It can be the difference between having a basic $5 thread vs a $29-$50 premium thread.
Q: Can you do embroidered patches with fine text and small details?
A: Yes — our fine-detail digitizing is high quality, professional and handles small text and intricate logos. These styles carry a Premium Specialty Thread Fee. We’ll advise on minimum readable sizes during quoting to ensure legibility.
Q: Will you ship patches internationally?
A: No, we primarily ship nationwide within the US. International shipping is not available.
Q: How should I attach patches to garments?
A: Sew-on is the most permanent method, iron-on is convenient for casual wear, and Velcro is best for removable patches or tactical gear. Our team will recommend the correct method based on garment, fabric, accessory, and material.
Q: Do you do embroidered patches for uniforms and safety wear?
A: Yes — we supply durable patches for corporate uniforms, public safety, and trade workwear with reinforced stitching for frequent laundering.
Q: Can you produce patches with embroidered edge finishes or (merrowed border)?
A: Yes — we can do several border styles. Merrowed and stitched border finishes are available and add longevity and a clean edge to custom patches.
Q: How do I request a quote for custom patches?
A: Email artwork, or logos. Use the quote form to address size, quantity, thread colors, backing preference, etc. Please, be detailed as possible. We'll respond with a firm quote within one business day.
Q: Do you offer packaging or labels for retail patch orders?
A: Yes — retail packaging, hang tags, and custom headers are available for wholesale and retail runs. Mention packaging needs in your quote request.
