What is a flex fit hat or flex fitted hat?

  • A flex fit hat is a stretchable hat with a flexible stretchband on the inside usually, elastic for comfort and ease of fitting or stretching to fit your head. Flexfit is the brand/company who makes the popular hat known as a flex fit hat.

What is a stretch fit hat?

  • A stretch fit hat is typically a softer material hat with a flexible closed back. It cannot be adjusted in any way, only stretched to fit.

Do Flexfit hats stretch?

  • Yes, Flexfit hats stretch. They come in multiple sizes of XS, S/M, L/XL, XXL. You should size the hat closest to fit your head by measuring, accurately. Not all fitted hats are equal, many fitted hats will fit differently. But, you can use various hat stretchers to stretch your hat to fit better. By wearing it, you can break it in to have a better fit. Or you can also, use various size coffee cans to make a stretch fit hat bigger.

What is the difference between fitted hats and flex hats?

  • Ideally, fitted hats and flex hats are the same. They are stretchable closed back hats. However, there are a few exceptions out there being there are a few hats that are a stretch fit hat with an adjustable snapback on the back, not many but some.

How should a Flexfit hat fit?

  • Realistically, perfect! Your fitted hat should be comfortable and fit perfect. For a flat brim fitted hat, it should fit your head just right and go over your ears, some prefer to wear above their ears.
  • For curved fitted hats, they are more sporty and should fit perfect on your head and behind your ears.
  • A good rule of thumb for any type of fitted hat is to slide your index finger between your hat and your head. If, it pushes out, it's great. If, you can't slide a finger between your hat and head, it's too tight.
  • If, a fitted hats gives you a headache, it is too tight and should be stretched, some. An example of a hat being too tight is when you're in need of a haircut and in this case, you do not stretch it because, after a haircut it will not fit right.
